Project Redesign
The project redesign for this semester was to create a tool holder. I decided to create a tool holder for the screwdrivers. I started with the design prosses in inventor and took measurements from the tools to get an estimate of how wide each hole should be. Then after putting the dimensions into inventor and making each hole evenly spaced. After that I worked on creating the French cleat that would hold it to the wall. After that saving the file and taking it to the 3D printer to print it out. Then after it finished printing I tested it and it stuck to the wall but only some of the screwdrivers fit. So I went to one of my peers Aiden Turner and used his design as reference because my holes where too small. So I adjusted the diameter to be slightly bigger and went back to the 3D printer to print a second time. After it finished I tested it and it worked. In the future I would have liked to added more of a design to the holder if I had more time.
During this project I learned that trial and error because of the holes in my holder and had to redesign the project. Another thing I learned was that asking peers for advice or opinions on things can help because its a new view on what you are working on. In total from this project I found that not procrastinating on work helps to get it done and saves time in the future to not stress about finishing it at the last moment.
